The Congress forum “Technology and Work” will discuss trade unions’ position on the just use of technology and the potential for technological advances for the benefit of people, societies and economies from the viewpoint of three principles:

1. Humans in Control: Ethical and approved use of technology with democratic oversight, accountability mechanisms and legal recourse for challenge;
2. Just transition measures: Agreed mechanisms to support workers in transition and preventative measures to protect consumers;
3. Social dialogue and collective bargaining: Ensuring frameworks for workers to shape the deployment of technology and protect their rights.

Guest speakers from across the Confederation will discuss and share their knowledge and experiences with the audience.
